Having been revived, the Centre de Recherche et de Documentation Africaine (CERDAF) boasts of turning dreams into reality with its new sense of purpose and goals. Its desire to run African Languages Program, offering Professional Training Workshops, and Interreligious Dialogue Sessions, together with the expansion of the ICT section, calls for an extension of its own physical infrastructure. This will not only answer the demand for skills by building eight classrooms but also improve its community engagement by building a multipurpose hall (salle polyvalente).
This ambitious programme has total budget of 165,943 USD as it entails a construction of eight classrooms for the professional section, eight public toilets and the hall as indicated above. We remain grateful to the main donor Conference Episcopale Italienne; to the Missionaries of Africa and the Archdiocese of Bukavu who have already put their hands together towards achieving this noble cause. While we remain grateful, we still fall short of 50,000 USD to fully fund this project.
To fund this project, is not to fund a building of the above infrastructure. It is rather to fund the dream of the centre; the dreams of various people who looked up to it to enhance their skills; it is to fund the future of someone. In fact, it is to fund to make impact in someone’s life. While we’ve submitted requests to other partners, other have declined. As we await for more responses, we remain hopeful that a positive response shall come. Yet, anyone’s contribution can impact someone’s life. If you want to make impact, do not hesitate to contact us on this website. The foundation stone has been laid already since April 11, 2026 trusting that your contribution will make a difference.
